Pacifico Clara was first brewed in 1900 in the port city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, by three German immigrants: Jorge Claussen, Germán Evers, and Emilio Philippi, who brought European brewing traditions to Mexico’s Pacific coast. Inspired by the rugged coastline and adventurous spirit of the region, they named their beer Cerveza del Pacífico after the nearby ocean. Over time, Pacifico became a local favourite among surfers, travellers, and free spirits, eventually earning global recognition as a symbol of Mexico’s coastal lifestyle and easygoing charm.
