Tommy's Margarita is a modern twist on the classic Margarita, celebrated for its simplicity and emphasis on the pure flavours of tequila. Originating in the 1990s at Tommy's Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco, it was crafted by Julio Bermejo, the bar manager. Unlike traditional Margaritas that use triple sec or orange liqueur, Tommy's Margarita features a minimalist blend of just three ingredients: 100% agave tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar as a sweetener. This refreshing concoction became an instant hit for its ability to showcase the agave spirit's character without the distraction of other citrus liqueurs. Tommy's Margarita has since become a beloved contemporary classic, celebrated for its purity, balance, and the innovation it brought to the world of tequila-based cocktails.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Instructions:

1. Prepare Your Glass:
• Start by chilling a rocks glass. You can do this by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice while you prepare the ingredients.
• If desired, rim a rocks glass with salt. To do this, rub the rim with a lime wedge and dip it into salt.

2. Add Ingredients:
• Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
• In a shaker, combine the tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar.

3. Add Ice & Shake Well:
• Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
• Shake the ingredients vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. This ensures the mixture is well-chilled.

4. Strain Into the Glass:
• Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass filled with ice

5. Garnish & Serve:
• Garnish with your chosen lime serve on the rim of the glass.
